Sick Sunday

Feb 26: We had a great Saturday. Update on Tate's playroom: Logan, Colleen, & Jerry got our basement walls all primed. Just a few touch ups for Logan and then we are ready to paint the final coat. After that its just trim, carpet, and a desk! I'll make sure to post pictures of before/after once we have the project done. We are so excited for Tate to have a playroom - now we just need to start buying more toys :)

I hung out at my parents so we didn't have Tate by the paint smell - Grandpa Al watched Tate for a while for us today too! Its so great having family so close to us.

Feb 27: Sick Sunday: Our poor baby boy has been sick today :( There are a lot of things going on...First, last weekend we once again tried the gradual switch over from his expensive formula to the normal formula. We were going 1/2 oz every 2-3 days...well we think that Tate might be allergic still to the cow's milk protein. Again he got fussy and gassy. His poor tummy would be as hard as a rock. Nothing we could do besides hold him and put a hot pack on his tummy. We stopped the switch over and are just giving him his expensive formula - we would much rather spend $26/can and have him feel good than spend $13/can and have him miserable. Hearing my baby cry today was terrible! Second, he has a stuffy nose, little cough, and a temp. Throughout the day he was at 99.9 - then 100.3 - after tylonel he went down to 99.3. Really hoping that it goes away - I hate when my baby is not his happy self! So today was family time. The 3 of us spent the whole day together, cuddling with Tate. Wish we could do it again tomorrow!

Sippy Cup

Feb 22: Tonight we let Tate play around with a sippy cup to see what he would do and what he thought of it.

It was so much fun. He knew that the point of the cup was to get it to his mouth and suck! He did such a great time. Sometimes we would have to help him get both hands on the handle but he knew what to do once his hands were on it! At times he would get a bit too much watch and choke a little but it was still so cute watching him!

Right now we are only allowed to give him formula. At his 6 month check-up we are going to discuss starting the rice cereal - then we will eventually move to the baby food! Due to Tate's sensitive tummy we are working on trying to get him slowly switched frome the expensive formula to the standard. Once that is done we will move to the rice cereal and then slowly move to baby food.
