September Milestones

As you can see from the picture Tate does not have any oxygen hooked up! He was taken off the oxygen less than 24 hours after he was born. It was removed on the morning of the 10th!

Kangaroo Time : this is when you put the babies bare skin against yours. Its the way Logan and I got to bond with Tate his first few days. We only got to do it 2 times a day - and that is all we got to hold him for the first few days. It was hard not getting to hold my baby whenever I wanted but at least we were able to some which showed us he was in good/stable condition.

Tate and Daddy
(daddy was coughing some so he wore a mask to be safe)

We were dismissed from my room on Sept 11th. Logan and I then moved all our stuff into Tate's room in the NICU. There was no way I was leaving the hospital until I had my son with me!

Grandpa Al and Grandma Janell got to touch Tate for the first time that day. My husband and parents showed me so much love and support the first few days Tate was born and that is why I think I was able to stay so strong and positive! Thank you.

9.11.10: 1st poopy diaper which was changed by daddy
(Daddy was excited to participate in all of Tate's firsts)

9.13.10: Under the light

9.15.10: Moved from nice NICU to dump NICU. We were told that day we would be moving as Tate was now a "grower/feeder." I was not ready to be moved from my comfort zone to a new place and it brought out all of my emotions. Due to the move I had Logan take 2 weeks after Tate was born to stay with me. Its crazy what can make you cry - but making me switch rooms was not something I wanted to do. It all turned out okay and when we moved we were blessed to gain 3 primary nurses. Linda Carter, Karen Bender, and Collette Andreasen.

 (Nice)

9:22.10 was our first attempt with a bottle. We discovered that the bottles at the hospital just were not working for Tate so we bought the Playtex drop-ins for him to use.
